With lockdown causing major problems for those of us working in remote rural areas, feeble BT broadband was insufficient to keep our business afloat. But with meticulous care to provide essential services – whilst obeying social-distancing guidelines – Hydrocomm came to our property and fixed a satellite broadband system that provides a communications lifeline. Hydrocomm understands the challenges of highland life and work. The service is reliable, business can function as near to normally as the times allow and, when lockdown ends, we are looking forward to developing a sustainable network with further advice from this expert operation.

I would like to say a big thank you for your work in connecting our Hydro scheme at Allt a Mheinn, Wester Tullich. I am impressed by the (relative) simplicity of your kit, and I am now able to quickly and easily check performance from my laptop anywhere in the country – “it does what it says on the tin”. I also must mention the very prompt responses to help requests when we experienced the voltage fluctuations on the main distribution line that interfered with the general electrics. It has altogether been a good experience to have your company do this work: please pass my appreciation on to your colleagues who have been involved. Thank you.

After being let down, very badly, by BT – we contacted Michael of Hydrocomm in the hope that he could resolve our communications problem. From the very initial contact, Michael showed great knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm. He came to see us and installed a satellite broadband system on our hydro scheme - not a straightforward task as the hydro station is situated in a treelined hollow, but with his determination to get the system up and running he completed the work effectively - and I might add, in horrific weather conditions! The efficiency of the system that he installed was highlighted when, after a 4 day shut down, I was able to restart our turbine from Katmandhu in Nepal! The wonders of technology.
